Norfolk Terrier

Norfolk Terriers are small, hardy dogs that hunted rats in 1800’s Great Britain. They are extremely versatile and can do just as well in an apartment as they would on a ranch. These guys make loyal and devoted companions.

About this Breed

The Norfolk Terrier is an adaptable little guy that originated in 1800’s Great Britain. This breed was used to catch rats, and they had quite the reputation for it. They are the near identical siblings of the Norwich Terrier. The main difference is that Norfolk Terriers have dropped ears, while Norwich Terriers have pinned up ears. Norfolk Terriers can make it out in the country or in the big city. They are still an active breed that needs daily exercise. You have to remember these dogs were bred as ratters, so you must watch them around other small animals, such as hamsters and ferrets. These dogs make loyal and affectionate companions.
