Here are three dog-friendly recipes you can whip up with common ingredients around the house.

For recipes containing peanut butter, check the nutrition info to see if xylitol is an ingredient. Xylitol is used as a sweetener in some food products and can be harmful to dogs even in small quantities. Generally, all-natural peanut butter with peanut listed as the only ingredient is safe for dogs to eat.

 

A recipe for banana oatmeal cookie dog treats has the following ingredients: 1 large banana, 1 cup flour, 1 instant oatmeal packet, 3/4 cup peanut butter, 1 large egg. Mix all ingredients together, use cookie cutters to make your desired treat shape, and bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.

 

A recipe for peanut butter banana ice cream dog treats. Ingredients: 3 ripe bananas, 32 oz plain yogurt, 1 cup peanut butter. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Then, pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze.

 

A recipe for pumpkin peanut butter dog treats. Ingredients: 2.5 cups whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup canned pumpkin, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp peanut butter, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Mix all ingredients together, then roll out the dough and use cookie cutters to make your desired treat shape. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
