The Redbone Coonhound is a versatile hunting dog with a flashy red coat. These guys make wonderful companions and are completely devoted to their owners. This American breed has quite the voice and isn't afraid to wake the neighbors!

About the Redbone Coonhound
The Redbone Coonhound descended from red foxhounds brought to America by Irish and Scottish immigrants. The breed was developed to create a hunting dog with a stronger nose and with greater versatility over changing terrains. In particular, these guys are used to for “treeing” raccoons. Treeing is the action of trapping game, likely a raccoon, in a tree and calling attention to the hunter by barking. Their beautiful red coat needs little grooming and they require a regular amount of daily exercise. Redbone Coonhounds are very devoted and loving dogs that will make great additions to your family. -
