The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a hardy pup from England. This breed is very similar, and often confused with the American Pit Bull Terrier. These dogs get a bad wrap, but they so lovable and they absolutely adore their owners. It is a shame how history has treated them so cruely.

They made their way over to the United States a few years later and were recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1975. This is a breed that has social, enthusiastic, and exuberant personalities. With their higher energy level, they need regular exercise. Prospective owners should take care to obtain their Staffordshire Bull Terriers from a reputable breeder. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are frequently found in shelters, too, so adopting a puppy or adult from a neighborhood shelter can be a great way to find one of these breeds. -
