Prague Ratter

The Pražský krysařík, also known as the Prague Ratter, is a small dog breed from the Czech Republic that was historically used for catching rats. Today, they are owned primarily as companion dogs and are sometimes still utilized for their original purpose. The Prague Ratter is a rare breed outside of the Czech Republic and Slovakia with only about 6,000 of them registered.

The Prague Ratter is a lively little dog with a friendly disposition. They are said to be intelligent and are eager to learn and please their owners. They can play well with children, but should be supervised as their small size can make them prone to injury. In fact, by the breed standard, the Prague Ratter is the smallest dog breed there is at 7-9 inches tall (the Chihuahua, in comparison, has a weight standard but not height).
