Every dog tested with Embark for Veterinarians receives a thorough report with detailed explanations of findings. Many dogs are all clear, which can help you refine your differential list. For at-risk patients, we'll help you consider further diagnostics and treatment options.
Genetic health screening
We screen for 270+ genetic health risks — and we test for each risk multiple times to be sure we’re giving you the most accurate results possible. For any at-risk results, you'll receive detailed information about age of onset, clinical signs, treatment options, and more.
Breed ancestry results
When it comes to dog breed, what you see isn’t always what you get. Embark can detect unique breeds down to 5% of a dog's total breed mix. That can help you advise pet owners to start planning now for possible breed-specific health conditions later in life.

Patient management
Your custom dashboard
Easily sort and access your patients' results with an easy-to-use dashboard. You can share individual results with clients, but you retain control over every report generated for your practice.
How it works
1. Swab
Gently swab the inside of your patient's cheek pouch and under the tongue to collect saliva for at least 30 seconds.
2. Activate & mail
Activate each kit online and send samples to our lab in their prepaid envelopes. Samples remain stable for at least 6 months, but kits expire two years after purchase.
3. Results in 2-4 weeks
We'll notify you by email when results are ready. You'll be able to access every patient's report in your dashboard and share with owners.
