Picardy Spaniel
Hailing from the marshlands and meadows of the Somme region in northern France, the Picardy Spaniel is one of France’s oldest and most traditional gun dogs. Relatively rare, this breed blends classic spaniel charm with the rugged versatility of a seasoned hunting dog. A working dog at heart, the Picardy Spaniel can adapt well to suburban life with an active owner.
Fun Fact
The first recorded litter of Picardy Spaniels in the US was born in 2006. The eight puppies were difficult to place, as so few people had heard of the breed.
