Wirehaired Vizslas are known as excellent hunting dogs, and also have a level personality making them suited for families.
Fun Fact
The brown nose found in both the Vizsla and Wirehaired Vizsla is due to a gene called the B locus. This gene converts black pigment to brown, which also affects the nose.

About the Wirehaired Vizsla
The Wirehaired Vizsla is a Hungarian hunting dog, closely related to but distinct from the Vizsla. Their bearded appearance and wire coat distinguish them from their smooth-coated relative. This coat has a useful function -- it protects the dog from cold weather and rough terrain, allowing them to hunt, track, and retrieve in any setting. The breed is known for its remarkable nose and intelligence. Wirehaired Vizslas are an active, energetic breed, and do best in an active or sporting family. When they're not doing work, Wirehaired Vizslas are affectionate with level temperaments, making them wonderful companions and pets. -
