About this Breed

The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, or Toller, is a medium-sized waterfowl dog that originated in Canada during the early 1800’s. These are affectionate and intelligent dogs that thrive in an active environment. Tollers are great with children and other dogs. They are the smallest of all the retrievers.

Tollers can be left with a natural coat and do not require much grooming. This breed is energetic and will play fetch all day long if given the chance. They absolutely love to swim. Tollers are generally a healthy breed.
