Embark Veterinary, Inc., a global leader in dog health and genetics, announced the appointment of three new members to its Veterinary Advisory Board (VAB) in January 2024. The goal of the VAB is to provide an external animal health sector perspective to Embark’s mission and enable successful commercialization by guiding priorities and ensuring scientific fidelity. These veterinary leaders will be vital in helping Embark transform how humans care for dogs.
The newest members of the Embark VAB are:
- Marty Greer, DVM, JD – Dr. Greer has a special interest in pediatrics and reproduction. She is an innovative owner of three veterinary practices, author, the 2023 Westminster Kennel Club Veterinarian of the Year, and won the 2020 “John Steiner Practitioner of the Year” award from the Society for Theriogenology. Dr. Greer raises and shows Pembroke Welsh Corgis and Danish-Swedish Farm Dogs.
- Mike Greenberg, DVM – Dr. Greenberg is an animal welfare veterinarian working in high-volume, high-quality spay-neuter and wellness clinics. He co-founded the Vet Accessibility Project, is the chief veterinary officer of Petszel, and is a board member of the Veterinary Virtual Care Association.
- Sue Ettinger, DVM, DACVIM – Dr. Ettinger brings over two decades of veterinary oncology experience to her role as a trusted authority in the field. As the head of the oncology service at Guardian Veterinary Specialists in Brewster, NY, she is one of only 450 board-certified specialists in medical oncology in North America. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sue, also known as Dr. Sue Cancer Vet®, is recognized for her educational contributions and was awarded the 2019 Western Veterinary Conference Small Animal Continuing Educator of the Year. She is a sought-after international speaker, an accomplished book author, and a valuable resource for pet owners and veterinary professionals.
“Embark is thrilled to welcome these distinguished leaders in the veterinary field to the Veterinary Advisory Board,” said Embark CEO Amish Desai. “Their diverse backgrounds, expertise, and leadership will be crucial as we continue to empower veterinarians, breeders, and pet owners alike to make informed decisions that will improve the life and longevity of all dogs.”
Also joining the Embark Veterinary Advisory Board will be the Embark Veterinary Geneticist Service team: Dr. Jenna Dockweiler and Dr. Kari Cueva.
