About the Alaskan Husky
While they are not a recognized breed, the Alaskan Husky is a type of dog, sometimes referred to as "Alaskan-type Huskies." The Alaskan Husky was bred from the Siberian Husky for its working ability. Today, it is one of the most common sled dogs in the world. It shares similarities in appearance and temperament with the Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute. The Alaskan Husky is a very intelligent, energetic dog that requires a lot of exercise. Alaskan Huskies are medium-sized dogs, weighing 35 to 60 pounds. These athletic dogs are best suited to environments where they can have active lifestyles. They thrive on socialization and don't like to be alone. -
